Caldwell 12 (NGC 6946) also known as the Fireworks Galaxy is a spiral galaxy located within the constellation Cepheus.
C12 is best viewed during Fall, is magnitude 8.9*, and can be viewed with binoculars. It is 11 x 9' in size. For reference, the full moon is 30' (arc minutes) in size.
