Giant Molecular Clouds
These are the giant molecular clouds (GMCs) found in our galaxy and are comprised of gas and dust. They are the stellar nurseries where stars and planetary systems are formed. They are enormous in size. For reference, the full moon is 30' (arc minutes) or 0.5° in size.
