Astronomy Spotting Scopes

Spotting scopes are telescopes that are designed primarily for terrestrial viewing, where images are oriented correctly (not inverted). Shorter and lighter than astronomy-dedicated telescopes, quality spotting scopes have apertures between 80mm and 130mm (about 3 to 5 inches). Spotting scopes make excellent dual-purpose instruments for bird-watching, wildlife viewing, and other hobbies besides astronomy.
